Tribal prints. Sequins. Stripes. Feathers. I`ve been shopping. In my closet!

Hi sweethearts!

Remember how I told you before that I only keep stuff in my wardrobe that I
absolutely love?
Since adopting this approach to my clothes my days of
what-the-f-to-put-on-and-feel-fab-when-I-only-have-clothes-that-don`t fit-days
don`t come around that much. I am happier for it.

Now I have made my closet into my
colourful, shiny and inviting candy box, my personal boutique!

Sometimes I lie awake at night thinking about all the
possible ways to combine my dresses and boleros and accessories into
fab outfits.

Ah, so many dresses, so little time. LOL
Know the feeling?

The outfit:
The dress is my design (top from H&M, yes, I am fat and in horizontal stripes lol, the belt is the
lining of a leather belt a friend of mine discarded)
The bolero is cut from a tunica from H&M that I made a dress with, before I got tired of it
The tribal scarf from H&M had my name on it, I love the burnt tones of it with a pop of dusty turqoise
The feather from H&M is for the hair, but I`ll wear it anywhere :)
The rest you have seen before, they are my staple accessories these days.

Tell me, do you also go shopping in your closet and get creative mixing your clothes?

Horisontal stripes? Yes please!

Hi Sweethearts!

How are you?

I sewed this dress today. I have wanted to wear stripes for a long time, but didn`t really dear to,
thinking that stripes and fuller figures maybe wasn`t a good idea.
Thankfully there are lots of fab bloggers out there inspiring me,
so here I am, curvy and stripey! LOL

Dress, my design (top from H&M)
Earrings, Vera Moda
Brown ring and studded bangles bought in Croatia
Watch, ICE
Leopard booties, Nilson

My take on sailor chic/ Screw the dont`s of fashion

Hi sweethearts!

<3

I guess this is as close I`ll get to sailor chic this summer LOL

I finally decided I can wear horizontal stripes! :D I felt a bit shy about it before, but, honestly,
there are so many rules about what to wear and not, and I am so tired of all the dont`s (for plus size women).

I break the rules all the time I`m sure, I wear all kinds of crazy patterns, I wear darker tops and lighter bottoms, I wear sequins to work, and now I also wear horizontal stripes LOL

I say screw the dont`s, I`d much rather subsribe to all the do`s!

Do know your shape, and do wear a good bra.

Do have fun with fashion!
Do embrace your self, regardless!
Do break all those silly rules if you want to!
Do make sure to not take crap from anyone!

A-freakin-HOI!!!!!!!!!

<3

The outfit:
Stripey bolero, Cubus (almost untouched by me I swear, I only removed the golden buttons on it LOL)
Brown dress, my design (with stains from the pizza I enjoyed today ;D)
Neckless, Accessorize
Bag, Zara
Earrings, Vero Moda
Ring and scarf, H&M
Bangle, one of mums that she got in Paris when we lived there 30 years ago)
Sandals, DNA

Tell me, what are your thoughts on the do`s and dont`s of fashion?

Fashionable sisterly love

Today I had the pleasure of enjoying the exellent company of my sister Martine, who not only is incredibly smart and funny, but also a fashionista in her own right! I am such a fan of her style, and honestly I wish I could pull off the egdy and relaxed fashion she showcases. Effortlessly chic!
I hope to feature her regularly on my blog -sis, thanks for letting me share your looks! ;D

How`s that for cool and trendy, in the Martine-way!

Comic superheroes meet blazer and studded bag. Mens t-shirts never looked this good I say!

Here`s what I schlepped on today, sort of a romantic boho-look: ruffles, stripes, layering and all.

Tough studs on my shoes and bolero meet flowy fabrics and bonkers glasses. I was gardening in this outfit before we painted the town happy, gardening IS what you think of when you see this outfit, no? NO? LOL!

On to the details of my outfit:

I was inspired by Martine to sew studs on this bolero jacket that I made from a suit jacket from H&M.

I simply fell in fashion-love with this white ruffled vest from H&M, here shown with a statement neckless from Frequent.

Eyecandy! Two petrolium striped scarves from H&M made into one, ring and belt from H&M, and a petrolium belt used as a bangle. The earrings were bought in Croatia.

And to top it all off, my bonkers glasses from H&M. Spotty you say? ;)
