Celebrating the women in my life

Hi Sweethearts!

Are you having a good weekend?
Thank you all so much for leaving me such wonderful comments, I love when you share with me!

Today was all about the women of my family.
I threw my mum a birthday party at ours, lovingly celebrating her.
I also said goodbye to my little sister before she`s going on a several months long adventure globetrotting.
I couldn`t be prouder of her, and I miss her so much already
(we only said goodbye an hour ago :D)

Here is my outfit du jour:

Dress, H&M and reworked by me
Bolero, my design
Watch, ICE
Scarf, Zara
Hairglitz, Lindex
Booties, Nilson

With all the patterns going on I kept the rest minimal.
All though, the head band probably isn`t really minimal, is it. Actually nothing about this outfit is minimal (LOL), but I still maintain it is quite restrained while crazily patterned. :D!

Now to the comic-relief part of this post.

My sis took these pics, but wasn`t really happy with my poses, so she wanted some ACTION!
I felt like a complete idiot jumping about in the street, but I will stop at almost nothing for her (and you guys),
so here it is, me in action, literally.
(I would like to point out that I am built for comfort, not speed.)
(And that I am becoming aware that pic one and three might be what I look like at the dancefloor, and that the second just seems like going against nature LOL)

I love birthdays. And my mum. It`s a good combination :)

I love my sis.
She is cool in a way that I could never be, we ying and yang a lot, she has a heart of gold,
is stubborn as hell, is my best friend,
is a beautiful soul,
and shares that loud surprisingly masculine-sounding-traffic-stopping-laughter that I have been blessed with.

Want to tell me about the women in your life?

Leopard Music Party!

Today I enjoyed the annual Music Party that takes place in Oslo this time every year!

My outfit for the day was a blue leopard dress, leopard scarf, fringed bag,
bangles and feathered head dress.

Chilling on a sidewalk in between concerts with my lovely sister Martine

One cool fashionista!

Here are some snaps from the different concerts that were located all over town:

Great pop with a soulful touch

Great rock! Punk on! :D

Skaters showing off!

All in all a great day in lovely Oslo with my fab sis <3

So, on to the outfit:

I love this blue printed dress from Lene V. I changed the neckline from a turtle neck to
a sweetheart neckline that suits me better I think.

These bootie-sandals are super comfy and have been a fave of mine
ever since I bought them in Split, Croatia last summer.

These are some of my fave bangles that I like to mix and match :D

Feathered head dress from H&M

Detail of the fringes on my black bag found at Top Shop in Split, Croatia

Wishing you all a lovely weeked with weather that requires shades :)

Fashionable sisterly love

Today I had the pleasure of enjoying the exellent company of my sister Martine, who not only is incredibly smart and funny, but also a fashionista in her own right! I am such a fan of her style, and honestly I wish I could pull off the egdy and relaxed fashion she showcases. Effortlessly chic!
I hope to feature her regularly on my blog -sis, thanks for letting me share your looks! ;D

How`s that for cool and trendy, in the Martine-way!

Comic superheroes meet blazer and studded bag. Mens t-shirts never looked this good I say!

Here`s what I schlepped on today, sort of a romantic boho-look: ruffles, stripes, layering and all.

Tough studs on my shoes and bolero meet flowy fabrics and bonkers glasses. I was gardening in this outfit before we painted the town happy, gardening IS what you think of when you see this outfit, no? NO? LOL!

On to the details of my outfit:

I was inspired by Martine to sew studs on this bolero jacket that I made from a suit jacket from H&M.

I simply fell in fashion-love with this white ruffled vest from H&M, here shown with a statement neckless from Frequent.

Eyecandy! Two petrolium striped scarves from H&M made into one, ring and belt from H&M, and a petrolium belt used as a bangle. The earrings were bought in Croatia.

And to top it all off, my bonkers glasses from H&M. Spotty you say? ;)
