Done shaming my self / white frills

Hi Sweethearts!

Remember these white frills?
The skirt of this dress was one of my personal breakthroughs in terms of defining what I can wear and not.
That definition was blown wide open when I picked my shamed self up from the dressing room floor (when the dress sized XL didn`t fit) and walked out of the store with two matching dresses, determined that I was going to wear the beautiful white frills no matter what.

I made a dress from the two dresses, and here is the skirt of that dress - take three.

I have been thinking about shame today and about why on earth I should keep shaming my self. I couldn`t come up with one good reason to continue with it.

So, sweethearts, it is time for another list LOL

Things I am done shaming my self for:

Being fat
Not feeling ashamed of being fat. (Intricate stuff this :D)
Being smart
My laugh. (If you heard it you`d know what I mean haha. Note to self, make vlog!)
Not managing the whole perfect wife-daughter-professional-friend-thing all the time.
Placing cups with soap around the house instead of spring cleaning (HAHAHAH. I really am honest here :D)
Being a hopeless romantic. (Re-runs of the bachelorette? Sure!)
Growing up the daughter of a diplomat
Being really scared every now and then thinking about the future
Sometimes agreeing with compliments I recieve LOL
Pushing my self too hard to take care of others
Swearing too often
Telling dirty jokes
Being really proud of my self for who I am as a person and where I am in my life
Always wanting to understand and listen to others. I have been called naive, but I`m not, I just love people really easily.

That`s my list. What`s on yours?

I love you guys.
<3

The outfit:
Dress my design (top from H&M)
Leopard dress used as slip (from H&M, reworked by me)
Leopard booties, Nilson
Watch, ICE

I want to say a big thank you to my beautiful friend LaCara of Oh La La Curves for featuring me today!

Counting my blessings in a leopard vest

Hi Sweethearts!

Today I spent time with my stunning sister. It is such a pleasure to keep getting to know her,
not just thinking of her as my younger sister but being interested in her as a person in her own right.

I am very grateful for both her and my brother, I have such respect for them.
Family (la familia la mafia LOL), it is such a special thing, they drive you crazy, but can know us in a
completely special way - if we let them.

Daring to me myself with my familiy, not apologizing for who I am or trying to only please is a scary thing to do, but completely worth it in my experience.

I am blessed with and very grateful for all the amazing people in my life,
my husbond, my family, my friends, and you -my sweet readers.

I know I keep sending you love, but I feel it so strongly!!
I <3 you, each and every one.

The outfit:

Dress, my design (I made it using a tee from H&M, fabric from a scarf and black fabric)
Vest, my design (cut it from the leftover material after I made this dress:)

I worked the dress and vest with
neckless and ring, Lindex
various bangles
earrings, Jade Jagger for Indiska
Bag, H&M
Ballerinas, Din Sko

Tell me, do you take the time to count your blessings?

Leopard Music Party!

Today I enjoyed the annual Music Party that takes place in Oslo this time every year!

My outfit for the day was a blue leopard dress, leopard scarf, fringed bag,
bangles and feathered head dress.

Chilling on a sidewalk in between concerts with my lovely sister Martine

One cool fashionista!

Here are some snaps from the different concerts that were located all over town:

Great pop with a soulful touch

Great rock! Punk on! :D

Skaters showing off!

All in all a great day in lovely Oslo with my fab sis <3

So, on to the outfit:

I love this blue printed dress from Lene V. I changed the neckline from a turtle neck to
a sweetheart neckline that suits me better I think.

These bootie-sandals are super comfy and have been a fave of mine
ever since I bought them in Split, Croatia last summer.

These are some of my fave bangles that I like to mix and match :D

Feathered head dress from H&M

Detail of the fringes on my black bag found at Top Shop in Split, Croatia

Wishing you all a lovely weeked with weather that requires shades :)

Back to basics

Much as I adore colour, I simply love getting my groove on in basic black and white -all layered and flowy.

Here I am posing at a public restroom (LOL! The things I do in the name of blogging! ..Ok, fine, I may have done it before as well, but now I have the blog to justify it hahahha)

Let`s get to the outfit itself  :)

Todays choice basics are a black dress with embellished shoulders, layered with a cut off white blouse, leopard scarf, studded bolero, some of my fave jewllery, studded boots and fringed bag
- you know.. keeping it simple ;)

On to the basics:

I love this mix of textures, soft meets glitzy and prints.

I found this romantic white blouse at H&M a while back, and simply cut it off and freyed the egdes to make it suit me better.

Flowy details

This frozen clock-neckless is one of my fave pieces. I got it from Day Birger et Mikkelsen in Copenhagen two years ago.

I made this black dress my self, and adorned it with shoulderglitz from a top-come-bolero from H&M. The dress looks scruffy here, but is nice and flowy to wear.

Detail of the studs that I added to this bolero that I made from a jacket from H&M

This fringed black bag has my name on it, and I was one happy customer when I brought it home from Top Shop in Split, Croatia.

Fringy, basically!

Basic bling: creme coloured ring from H&M and black wristwatch from Alessi

Ready for a good time, basically!
