White christmas / sending you all love

Christmas at ours is all about staying in the moment,

keeping it simple, enjoying each other

and sharing the love.

Growing up with divorced parents I always had to

celebrate christmas twice, and was always missing one parent on christmas eve.

This year I have taken a time out, celebrating it at home with my husbond,

and seing my family at christmas parties.

It feels good to take control over this aspect of my life as well,

and I am grateful that my parents are loving and understanding about it.

I am happy to say that I am actually enjoying christmas this year,

it is stress free, honest, and white.

We like to keep our christmas decorations simple too,

letting the tree take center stage, and simply

lighting candles and enjoying our white tulips.

Hi Sweethearts!

As some of you know I am just as passionate about interiour design as I am about fashion,

and at home I follow the same two rules that apply to my fashion-choices:

1. Only wear/surround your selves with what you love

2. Screw the rules

I sew my soft furnishings my self, to get them the way I like them; individual and fab LOL

I collect black and white pictures of cities, and in our living room I daydream to the views of 

Paris, New York, Venice, San Fran and Oslo.  

The look of our home is about as minimal as I do. Is there such a thing as maximalist minimalism? 

LOL

Our home is all about comfort and making guests feel welcome.

We always have room for one more:)

Hi sweethearts!

A while back I was chatting with the fab and sweet Sarah of Return to sender on FB

about a pic showing a bit of our living room, and I said I show her some more :)

I can happily report we recently downsized from 33 cushions to a mere 28 LOL!

I`ve sewn most of them my self.

Basically I am as passionate about interiour design as I am about dresses, and you know how I am about dresses! :D

Taking matching to the next level

I have been thinking of this idea I had of doing a post on how

my wardrobe and interiour mirror each other,

but just had to do a quick one on how I might have taken matching to the next

level by making clothes and pillows from the same fabric, LOL!

There may be a diagnose for this!!?

Let`s just say I am blessed with a man who just let`s me

get on with my insanities LOL.

I guess it`s an example of the quote I posted on FB today:

It`s not about having a connection with the perfect person,

the point is having a perfect connection with an imperfect person.

Feeling spotty!

This is what my TV has been showing me today.. ever returning spots!

Looking at the lumicent spots got me to thinking about... SPOTS (can`t always be profound, can I?!)

Spots hit the runways every now and then, think 1950`s reworked! -Spots all around!

Fashion and interiour design often draw inspiration from each other and mutually set the trends that filter into our homes and into our wardrobes. Personally I would love to have an outfit inspired by this glouriously decorated room :)))))

Completely over the top and bold! Which in my book often can be said of good fashion as well, LOVE IT!

So, all this pondering the spotty aspects of things got me wondering what I`ve got in my home and closet that dot the i`s? After looking around for a couple of minutes here`s what I can report back to you -my captivated audience (hypnotized yet?)

Spots on my lanterns from Copenhagen even!

Finally, my piece de la resistance: my completely bonkers spotty sunglasses from H&M (yes, I do wear them in public ;) )

Quite the compilation, no? I bet you are surrounded by spots too, you just need to notice them. Mind, protective goggles are recommended, take it from me, to much spottiness will go to your head.

I don`t feel too good. Next time: quadrants! (Hold on for this cliffhanger my good people!)
