Playing up my hourglass in taupe

Hi sweethearts!

Today I couldn`t wait to put on my latest purchase so I changed into this dress before leaving the store, LOL!

I fell in love with the colour and the way the dress plays up my hourglass shape.
All hips and waist, and I`m ok with it :D
Ok, looking at the pics, it really is a lot of tuche as well, - really it`s a lot of everything,
and I am still ok with it! LOL.

The outfit:
Dress, Lindex
Bolerojacket, H&M ( was a suit jacket before I tailored it and added the studs)
Bag, Zara
Neckless and ring, Lindex
Bangles, H&M
Ballerinas, Din Sko

Tell me, are you ok with your shape?

Taupe ruffles in the rain

Hello sweethearts!

It`s raining in Oslo again, and I actually find it beautiful, if not the perfect weather for summer.

I sewed /reworked this dress this morning before leaving the house (a common sight at my house LOL)

I originally made the white dress from two dresses, I figure that if something that I love doesn`t fit that is just a challenge, not a reason to leave the store feeling humiliated and sad. Those days are over!

The dress before..

.. and (for) now.

The outfit:

Dress, my design (made with top and part of a scarf both from H&M)
Bag, Zara
Bangle and hairband, H&M
Earrings, Accessorize
Neckless, FreeQuent
Sandals and ring bought in Croatia
Umbrella, a gift from mum

Sending you all lots of love my darling readers!

Flowy Taupe

Today I enjoyed a relaxed Sunday in a relaxed outfit.
I love this flowy taupe dress, it is so comfortable to wear, and feels great on,
especially when it is flowing in the wind (matching my bloody hair that is impossible to control LOL)

The outfit:
Taupe dress, H&M (untouched by my hands as of yet, hoooooold the phone haha)
Leopard bolero, my design from a scarf, H&M
Sandals that I reworked using fabric from a dress, Zara
Bag, bangles and hairband, H&M
Neckless, Freequent

Sending you all warm thoughts and wishing you a lovely week!

Bohemian Citrus

Can you tell my sweet Alex has assumed a surprise-click-approach to taking my pics? LOL :D

Anyways, I got this dress on sale at Noa Noa,
(money saved/barely spent/burning in my pocket, ladies! you follow? LOL),
and really liked the pop of citrus in the print, but I sort of felt that that it was a touch to
cute for me, something about the sleeves and the hemline didn`t quite work for me.
I wanted it flowy....bohemian! :D

So, you know me, it`s not a problem, only a solution I yet haven`t found LOL, so off to work on it I went.

First I added black trimmings (material from a dress) to the sleeves:

Still wasn`t happy though, and I pondered long and hard on what to do with the flippin ruching at the bottom :)
add sequins? to much work, couldn`t be bothered.
Finally, I noticed a pillow in my sofa that I made years ago from a great Masai-scarf (this reworking madness has been going on for a while you see), and ding ding ding!

All though this was a gift from mum, I swallowed hard, sent her a warm thought and started chopping.

For that slightly whimsical effect I added the fringe (that I originally added to the scarf using silver and white sewing thread) to the neckline (I find that fringes caught up in wind is exellent for minimizing my tum tum LOL), and simply changed the bottom of the dress.

Tell me darling readers, should I change the sleeves more, or step away from the vehicle?

I worked the dress with a taupe ring that Alex gave me for our wedding anniversary two years ago,
taupe fringed bag from H&M, earrings from Vera Moda, keychain used as neckless,
bangle, wegdes and understated glasses bought in Croatia.

Blowing you kisses!
I love my readers!!
