My inner monolouge says... that is a lot of print!

Hi sweethearts!

Thank you all so much for reading and commenting!

I am a firm believer that our thoughts can help us define how we feel,
making our inner monolouge a powerful tool to use
in terms of our perspective on our selves and
the lives we lead.

To have power brings the responsibility of using it wisely,
even when the power in question is that of my own
perception of my self.

My inner monolouge used to put me down, critisize my weight and highlight my mistakes 24-7.
I have taken the power over my inner monolouge,
and now the record that is playing in my head says:
Yes, you can.
Don`t worry.

It turns out my inner monolouge is right,
be it facing the challenges in my life, laughing at my own jokes, asking you to be my friends
or wearing any prints I damned well please.

Can you relate?

The outfit:

Leopard dress by H&M that I have reworked (and is the dress I feel the best about my body in LOL, pretty incredible seing as how it is anything but discreet)
Bolero/jacket that I cut from a dress by Gina Tricot that only fit nicely over one buttock at a time before I
used the top of it for a few dresses until this morning when I got my scissors out
Scarf is a dress that I forget where I got that I now am resewing
The shoes are untouched by my hands LOL
The bracelet I sewed from a sequin scarf

Tell me, what record do you have your inner monolouge playing?

Pissed off / Learning to live. In leopard.

Hi Sweethearts!

I am so glad to "see" you again!

For all the beauty in life, it is very hard sometimes, you know?
I have been blessed with so much love in my life, but I am also a suvivor of abuse.
I have deep emotional wounds that I am trying my best to heal
in a loving and respectful manner towards my self, same as I try to be to everyone else.

After spending days crying and grieving, I am now at a place where I am pissed off!
Who is anyone to hurt me, who are we to hurt each other?!!

I only got in touch with my anger on behalf of my self a few years ago
(and all of our wine glasses soon needed replacing after I had slammed them in a wall LOL).

I am a fierce self worth activist, I am a pacifist, I am stubborn, I am joyful, I am strong, I am voulnerable,
I am learning to stand up for my self as well as for others, I am done being a victim.

I survived. Now I am learning to live.

I am also all decked out in leopard.
Again. LOL

There you have it, the big things in life, and the smaller but really enjoyable ones.

The outfit:

The dress, H&M/reworked by me
Bolero, my design
Booties, Nilson

Let`s be kind. Let`s be the best version of our selves. Let`s be a friend.

Hi Sweethearts!

Let me say how much I appreciate you guys! Reading your comments I feel warm at heart,
like hearing from friends :) you mean so much to me! Let`s all meet! Oslo might surprise you ;D
<3

You know, I don`t always have something new to show you, and seing as how I don`t have a big bugdet I don`t have all kinds of fancy shoes or a huge wardrobe, but I figure if you want to
take a look you are welcome :).
This blogging-business is so much fun, but I do feel shy about it too,
questioning if I really have something to offer. Do you ever feel like that?
A bit of humble pie is a good thing, especially mixed with a bit of spunk.
And I do have spunk! LOL

Anyways, today I wore a favourite ensemble, mixed with a sequined scarf worn as a tie.

The outfit:

Dress, my design (made from a scarf)
Bolero, my design (made from a scarf)
Sequin scarf, have no idea where I got it
Booties, Nilson

Dancing the night away in flowy black and grey

Hi sweethearts!

This weekend I am spending most of my time at the amazing Mela-festival, which is an annual multicultural
music festival. I`ll try to show you some pics tomorrow :)

For a night of shaking my hips to the bangra I needed to wear something lightweight and comfortable,
and this outfit was just that.

Remember how I said I want to dare to dance in the street?
CHECK!!!

I had lots of surprised and amused looks when I was grooving away today from people not used to seing a Norwegian dance to their music I guess, and I also had the
pleasure of learning how to dance Bangladeshi-style from some of the people there!
Such fun :)

Boooooyaaaaaaaw!
LOL

The outfit:
Dress, my design (made from a tee from Vero Moda and a coat from H&M)
Bolero, my design
Neckless and ring, H&M
Bangle, Indiska
Bag from N.Y
Sandals, DNA
Glasses from Croatia

Tell me, what music gets you going on the dance floor?

My scarf/tee-dress is now a scarf and a different dress / Embracing imperfection

Hi sweethearts!

Remember the dress above that I made from a scarf and a tee a couple of weeks ago?
Yesterday I decided to change it up, so I sewed a dress from that tee and a coat from H&M instead.

I took my own pics today, sorry for the poor quality, but I wanted to say hi anyways, and accepting inperfection is a great lesson in life no?

I find I am learning to accept my self more, I do it by pushing my self to go where I need to -but am afraid to venture, be it not holding in my tummy anymore, daring to dance when listening to street-performers,
accepting that I make mistakes or owning that I am voulnerable as hell.

I am me, I can`t be nobody else, and lately I don`t want to be either.

You`ve read it here before, but it`s worth repeating:

It`s not about having a connection with a perfect person,
it`s all about having a perfect connection with an imperfect person.

When I think about it, that also goes for our relationship with our selves, don`t you think?
Let`s be kind to our selves.

<3

Sending each one of you big hugs!
