In full bloom - front to back

Hi Sweethearts!

You know how some dresses make you feel va va voooooom?
This is one of those dresses for me.
(va va VOOM baby! LOL)

Thinking back to all those years I walked around feeling fat, ugly and crap makes
my joy of now being able to love my self and enjoy dressing up every day even stronger.

It`s not so much my body that has changed, it is my perspective on my self.
Every time I have a negative thought about my self I let it go and replace it with a supportive one.
Such hard work, totally worth it.

So here I am in all my glory (oh dear), in full bloom as it were.

The outfit:

Dress (Indiska) that I have reworked by wearing it with the back as the front. I wanted the rough detail of the zipper to show, and also I simply can`t zip it up HAHAHAH.
I added the belt from a miniskirt that I wear as a scarf.
The scarf (H6M) is another miniskirt (of course :D). I love the golden snake fabric.
Owl earrings (Gina Tricot)
Huge purple ring (H&M)
Watch (Ice)
Leopard booties (Nilson)
Double chin (Ben & Jerrys LOL)

Thank you each and every one for your wonderful comments.
I take them all to heart and love surfing over to your lovely blogs. <3

I love colour on a grey day

Hi Sweethearts!

How are you?

Today I went for lots of colour,
perfect for lifting my spirits on a grey autumn day at work.
Granted, the colourful sequins might be a little much for work, but they match the dress so perfectly LOL
I think it got away with it ;D

The outfit:
Dress, H&M /reworked by me (I used two dresses to make this one)
Sequined bolero, H&M
Scarf, Zara
Watch, ICE
Booties, Nilson

Tell me, do you still break out your colourful items even though summer is over?

Purlesque selfacceptance

Hi Sweethearts!

What do you get if you mix delicious purple and.....

.. over the top burlesque?

Honey, let me tell you,
mixed right it gets you one of my fashion heroes: the iconic style icon Dita von Teese!
This woman is fierce!
I love her style, which to me is all about embracing your curves and not apologizing for showing them of! Now there`s a recipe for exuberance and fun! (Yes, AND sex ;) )

Dita von Teese working her curves in a formfitting purple treat

As far as I am concerned this life is all about accepting ourselves and giving everything the best we`ve got, and I am happy to tell you that after I stopped coming down hard on my self
(such hard work, totally worth it) my life and acheivments have soared.

In terms of fashion that has opened me up to loving my shape, educating my self on what silouettes best show off my assets and downplay my flaws
( all though my husbond -bless him- insists that every part of me is beautiful, but of course this may be an example of his wisdom seing as how he has to (gets to) live with me ;) ).

More than anything this style-voyage has helped me travel into previously unchartered territory:

COLOUR!

Let`s just say I have arrived!!

Wearing colour helps me feel aaaaall woman, and I love it.

Tell me, what are your fave colours and how do you feel wearing them?

Having fun in a peacock-tribute

Hi sweethearts!

How is your weekend going?

I enjoyed mine today in an ensemble that ended up like a peacock-tribute LOL!
What do you think, too much?
:D

The outfit:

Scarf, left over material from another dress
Tee, H&M (that I chopped shorter)
Headdress, Indiska
My trusted skull-ring, Lindex
Sandals, Zara (reworked with fabric from a dress)
Bag, gift from my sis

As you can tell, I like to have fun with my looks, todays outfit case in point ;)

How do you play with your looks?

Getting colour coordinated

Today we swapped bookshelves with a neighbour and as I was getting the new one sorted
I organized the books the way I do my closet, according to colour, LOL!
The rest of our books are in our bedroom, as they match the black and white in there :D

Am I the only one doing this?

My lovely and weird mix, take two

It struck me as sort of funny that I was wearing many of the same items of clothing
for my second take on that weird mix, but that the scarf had taken the place of the dress :)

Neckless (Accesorize)
Ring, bangle (H&M)
Peacock head dress (Indiska)
Sandals (DNA)

I have been thinking:

What do you think if I sew something for my first give away?
Maybe like a 100-followers giveaway (unless that is to pretencious)?
Any requests? :D

Thinking of you all.

My new dress from a skirt and shoe laces

Hi guys, how are you?

Remember my rosy fabric (used to be a skirt) that I found in my mums basement and wore
as a scarf the other day?
Yesterday I sewed a dress from it and added shoe laces (that I made for a pair of
sandals a while back) as a waistband.

What do you think?

The dress in its former life

The laces in their former life (studs from a dress, laces made from a belt)

I love this contrast of the romantic fabric and the studs with the black :)

I worked the dress with mixed bangles, headband, leopard scarf and white ring from H&M

Sending you all big hugs!
Thanks so much for following!

Thank you, my sweet readers and fellow bloggers!

I need to start by giving a heartfelt THANK YOU to the
lovely bloggers who are taking part in my "Spreading the love"-series,
and a warm and humble THANK YOU to the fab bloggers who have done me the great honour of featuring me these last days.

Their blogs are all amazing, and I would love for you all to check them out if you haven`t already! <3

THANK YOU also so very much every one of you, my treasured readers.
Lately I feel overcome with gratitude that you guys actually read my blog and take the time to comment. It is not something I take for granted in any way, as you would realize if you could see my face as I am reading your comments :).

It`s important to me that you know that you are appreciated!

You all really mean so much to me, incouraging me to continue on with this blogging venture.
If you would like to be featured on my blog, let me know, and I will be happy to spread the love your way!

Today I went for a relaxed and comfy outfit, good for running around in through sprinklers the garden with
children, all of us screaming at the top of our lungs LOL!
That`s what I spent my day doing, and absolutely loved every minute of it.
At one point I was completely soaked, but I figure, much rather throw my self in the game then
sit on the side and worry about not spoiling my dresses. :D

The outfit:
Cut off tuniqe (H&M)
Brown dress, bangle, hearband, ring (H&M)
Neckless that I made this morning from two earrings and a piece of wrapping string
Lilac Hawaiianas
